Dominican Republic
The Dominican Center for World Missions is a facility located in Jarabacoa, about three hours outside Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The center is focused on raising up missionaries, with an emphasis on, but not limited to Latinos. This is accomplished through discipleship training, working with local churches to raise missions awareness, community development projects, and short-term teams like yours.

Your team could get dirty doing some physical work at the center or working on other community development projects. Groups can also expect to staff a VBS style program geared to either early grade school or later grade school. Opportunities would also be available for skits, and other ministry presentations to be done with translation. And of course, spending time with the children is always encouraged.

What would we be doing?
Your team could get dirty doing some physical work at the center or working on other community development projects. Groups could also expect to staff a VBS style program geared to either early grade school or later grade school. Translation will be provided for your group.

We'll take your team to town for pizza one night and for ice cream later in the week in order to get a taste of life in Jarabacoa.

On Sunday, you'll attend a local church service and then hike to a nearby waterfall or float down the river on tubes.

Finish the week off with a day at the beach or another site of historical or geographical significance.
