Spain
Pinos Reales Camp is a quality Christian camping facility located about two hours outside Madrid, Spain. The camp is operated by Evangelism in Action who uses the facility to host retreats and camps throughout the year.
  • What will we be doing?
Your team could spend your days serving behind the scenes by helping to prepare meals in the kitchen or assisting in grounds maintenance during one of the kids summer camp weeks. Opportunities would also be available for skits, and other ministry presentations to be done with translation. And of course, spending time with the children is always encouraged. Finish the week off with a tour of one of the nearby monasteries dating back to the rule of Phillip II, a visit to the nearby historic city of Avila, or a kayak and rock climbing adventure day.

  • When can we go?
Contact us if you are interested in going. Teams are needed throughout the year.

  • How much does the trip cost?
Contact us for a custom quote based on your team.

  • Do I need a passport or visa
YES! To travel abroad to any country outside of the United States you now need to have a passport. No visa is currently required for US Citizens to enter Spain at this time.

  • How long is this trip?
Generally our trips are 7-8 days, though teams can always choose to either extend or shorten their length of stay.

  • Where is Pinos Reales Camp?
Pinos Reales (or Royal Pines) is located about two hours North East of Madrid, Spain near Avila.

  • What's included in the cost?
Everything you need once you enter Spain: food, lodging, transportation, drinking water, a one day trip to the Real Monasterio De San Lorenzo (or another nearby historic location) and even supplemental health insurance.

  • What's not included in the cost?
Airfare, passport, spending money, offering at church services, construction and/or ministry materials.

  • Where will we be staying?
There are bunk halls on the grounds of the camp that would be reserved for your entire team. Three meals a day and a light afternoon snack will be provided by the camp as a part of your package.

  • What language do they speak in Spain?
    You guessed it. Spanish!

  • Is it safe?
Yes. We take extra precautions and lay down strict ground rules to ensure safety. Crime occurs in Spain just like anywhere else, but it is considered a safe place to visit. The camp is in a rural location and is reasonably isolated from nearby cities.

  • What about bugs, snakes, and other poisonous creatures?
Spain has its share of these kinds of creation, as does every country on earth. The chance of seeing anything dangerous is very, very slim.

  • Who can go on this mission trip?
Anyone you want to bring. Simply Missions is different from other short-term mission agencies in that we want to work alongside you as a leader in developing both your skills and your team. We welcome you to include families with children, junior high, high school and college students, and adults of any age!

  • How do airline tickets work?
We have arrangements with a couple of different travel agencies that specialize in group travel. Also, we can put you into direct contact with most airlines which offer a discounted rate for groups of 10 or more.
